JAPAN EXPECTS WEAKER CONSUMER PRICES
The Japanese government lowered its expectations for consumer prices in the current fiscal year, according to reports on Wednesday.
Japan’s consumer prices are expected to reach 0.4 per cent, which is down from previous estimates of 1.2 per cent.
CANADA’S CRUDE OIL PRODUCTION DOWN IN APRIL
Canada produced 17.2 million cubic metres (108.3 million barrels) of crude oil and equivalent products in April, down 1.1 per cent compared with the same month in 2015, Statistics Canada said in a report on Wednesday.
US JOB GROWTH INCREASES IN JUNE
US job growth increased in June, according to data out of the country on Wednesday.
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 287,000 jobs last month, the country’s labour department said.
