– Germany’s Angela Merkel and Russia’s Vladimir Putin discussed the United States withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal at a meeting in Sochi, Russia.

– Canada’s annual inflation rate came in at 2.2 per cent for April, which was down from 2.3 per cent the previous month, according to the latest data from Statistics Canada.

– Cambridge Analytica, the company at the centre of the recent Facebook data-sharing scandal, has filed for bankruptcy in the U.S., according to reports.
