Chris Anderson has been appointed the Canola
Council of Canada’s (CCC) new vice-president of crop production,
the council reported in a release.
Anderson replaces JoAnne Buth, who
was recently promoted to president of the council.
In his new position, he will lead the council’s team of
agronomy specialists, develop and deliver technology transfer
programs, coordinate agronomic research, deal with seed and
variety policy issues and work with all parts of the industry to
ensure a sustainable supply of canola, the CCC said.
Anderson has a farm background and an M.Sc. from the
University of Manitoba. Anderson has worked for Advanta Seeds and
most recently, before joining the council, he was with Monsanto
Canada in canola product development and quality assurance.
