Manitoba Co-operator editor Laura Rance is the luncheon speaker on November 8. Manitoba entrepreneur and food product developer Margaret Hughes, co-owner of Best Cooking Pulses Inc. is also scheduled to speak.

Select-a-sessions explore topics ranging from geocaching craze to tax issues.

The 2010 conference is being held in the birthplace of the Manitoba Farm Women’s Conference.

This is the 24th year of the event, which originated after two women in the Portage la Prairie area approached a local home economist in 1986 about creating a unique forum for women to explore topics related to farm and family life.

This year’s conference will be held at the CanadInns, Portage la Prairie November 7 to 9.

Registration forms and more information are found on the conference website at: www.manitobafarmwomensconference.ca/index.html.
