The CWB has introduced a new online Guaranteed Delivery Contract look-up tool ( www.cwb.ca/gdc) to replace the current long list of GDCs. The tool makes all GDCs readily searchable by class, and if applicable, by company or station. Simply select the class of grain from a drop-down list, then click search to view all contracts. If available, you can use the company or station lists to narrow your search.
The CWB has also introduced a new mobile website (http://m. cwb.ca) for easier viewing on a mobile device. It contains Producer Payment Option daily prices, Pool Return Outlooks, deadlines, the latest CWB news and more.
Non-board advances now available online
The Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) is now accepting applications for the 2011 cash advance program. Farmers are eligible for up to $100,000 interest free, and an additional $300,000 at competitive interest rates.
Producers can apply for a cash advance on a wide range of commodities, depending on the province where they farm.
“Having the application forms and online system available earlier in the spring is one way we can provide better service to farmers who have a busy field season right around the corner,” CCGA general manager Rick White said in a release.
Farmers can apply online at www.ccga.ca or call 1-866-745-2256 to complete a telephone application. Applications are also available at many local elevators, and fax-back option has been introduced this year.
