New DuPont Barricade herbicide will provide growers with cleaner fields thanks to its unprecedented control of key broadleaf weeds and its ability to help manage weed resistance, the company says in a release.
Barricade leverages the strengths of three active ingredients from two different herbicide groups to provide control of a broad range of broadleaf weeds including: cleavers, cow cockle , hemp nettle, kochia, lamb’s quarters, redroot pigweed, smartweed (lady’s thumb), stinkweed, volunteer canola, wild buckwheat, and wild mustard.
Barricade also provides suppression of Canada thistle and Russian thistle.
Barricade can be used in spring wheat, durum wheat, and spring barley from the two-leaf stage up to the full flag-leaf stage. Barricade is rainfast in one hour and breaks down quickly in the soil; there are no cropping restrictions the following year.
DuPont Barricade is packaged in a convenient, easy-to-handle 40-acre case containing a dry herbicide in a 486-g jug and a liquid herbicide in a 6.4-l jug.
